Personal work

A zine that explores how skateboarding is becoming a tool for profound change in the Palestinian Occupied Territories.

I began working with the skateboarding organisation SkatePal in 2015 – visiting Palestine, to transport equipment and teach skate classes. This zine was created to raise funds for a proposed skatepark in the Palestinian village Jayyous. After selling all 500 copies of the zine, the total sales contributed nearly 10% of the funding for the skatepark construction (see image 5) . I returned in 2017 as part of the team to help build the park, which featured in the Viceland series Post Radical.

The publication was stocked across a number of EU and US skate shops & independent bookstores, and I recieved orders from over 20 different countries, as far as Lebanon, Russia and Japan.

You can reads interviews about the project with both i-D and STACK.
