Tom Bird holds the slippery and vague title of ‘creative’. Practically-speaking... he’s a writer, designer and art director.

He defines his job as finding new ways to combine words and pictures to tell stories simply and powerfully. Sometimes for love, sometimes for money. Occasionally these blur.

His professional practice involves working with brands and individuals of all shapes and sizes, helping them to play a role in the global conversation and – ideally – make a contribution to culture.

He thinks he’s done alright so far, since his commercial work has appeared on the news and in stores, and his personal work has featured in magazines, on exhibition walls and at his nan’s bingo hall.
