Tom Bird holds that slippery and vague title of ‘creative’. In practice – he’s a writer, designer and art director.

He defines his job as finding new ways to combine words and pictures to tell stories simply and powerfully. Sometimes for love, sometimes for money. Occasionally these blur.

His practice involves working with brands and individuals of all shapes and sizes, helping them to play a role in the global conversation and ultimately make a contribution to culture.

He thinks he’s done alright so far – since his commercial work has appeared in the news and in shops, and his personal work has featured in magazines, exhibitions and his nan’s bingo hall.
